The Do's & Don'ts

DON'T Pay MLS Dues


That's right - say goodbye to mandatory MLS dues. You are no longer a member of the board, therefore you can save money on dues!

DON'T Pay Local or National Dues


A large chunk of your dues go to NAR and your local board. Since you are not actively practicing Real Estate, you are not required to join these boards. As a result, you will no longer be able to refer to yourself as a REALTOR

DON'T Pay Any Monthly Brokerage Fees


No monthly fees paid to the broker on the Referral Network Plan

DO keep your license active


In order to legally receive referral fees, you must have an active license. This means you will still need to complete the required CE to satisfy TREC's requirements.

DO Maintain Relationships


Keep in touch with your past clients and sphere of influence so you can refer them to a trusted agent that will close the deal and get you paid!

DO Collect Referral Fees


Negotiate referral fees with your referral partners, and complete referral agreements.

Refer to one of our RealAgents and receive a higher commission split than the standard industry rates.
